The candle itself was given a mystical meaning: the beeswax symbolized the pure flesh Christ received from his Virgin Mother, the wick symbolized his soul, and the flame his divinity.”

The tradition of using pure beeswax candles for our altars and churches has been watered down as access and affordability have come into question. We would like to keep the tradition alive by offering altar candles made of 100% local beeswax - straight from the farm!
